STRONG WILLED CHILD ALERT
HELP! I have a very strong willed child. Allee E. Taylor is such a mess. She has a horrible temper and has recently developed a love for climbing on the kitchen table and standing in the middle of it. I think she got at least 5 spankings in a row the other day for standing on the table, and she still went back and tried it again. There is really nothing on the table for her to want, she just LOVES to climb. What am I going to do with her? She climbs on everything and can destoy a room in 5 seconds flat. She is VERY curious and loves to get her way. I guess she has a little bit of "mommy" in her, so I shouldn't complain, huh? You should just she her when she knows she is in trouble. Aiden will start screaming before you even approach him "I don't want to get a spankin..." to the point that you almost laugh and don't want to spank him. But Allee, she will run and try to hide with this hilarious look of mischief on her face, like, "Do you really think that is going to affect me?" Kids....what would our lives be without them? I can't imagine.

ALLEE IS ONE!
WOW! Even though it was on March 14, I thought this was too cute not to post. Allee celebrated her 1st Birthday with friends and family at our church. Ms. Crystal helped us decorate and let us borrow lots of stuff for the party. We decorated in flowers and butterflies and my mom ("NaNa Boo Boo") made her a cute little matching dress. She LOVED her cake and MiMi loved cleaning the icing off of her in the huge sink. She got a middleton baby who we named "Lucy" and many other gifts she loved. We had a great time playing and eating. I can't believe she is already ONE. It won't be long till we will do this again.
Fun in the Sun!!
We just returned from a wonderful, relaxing and exciting trip to Gulf Shores, AL. My in-laws invited us (Me, Rick and the kids) and Rick's sister and two children to the beach with them. It was absolutely wonderful to be at the beach with the whole family. Although, Uncle Danny didn't get to make the trip or it would have been perfect. Aunt "LeLe" is a hoot and the kids love playing with her and their cousins. Of course they love their Nana and Pop.
I have always loved the beach. If you ask me to "go to my happy place" it is always me at the beach, laying out in the sun! Well, it seems my kids are no exception. They loved it. Aiden has been twice before and we took Allee last year when she was 4 months (AWFUL exerience), but they both loved it this year. Aiden found a "sand mountain" that he climbed on, dove off of and tried to destroy, while Allee spent most of her time eating the sand that she had dropped her "nack" (snack) into. Not a moment went by that she wasn't covered from head to toe in sand and loved every minute of it. They both loved the ocean water once we got passed the waves. Allee would walk right into the water all by herself if we weren't watching.
Aiden is certainly a talker. Everywhere we went he was making a friend or talking to someone. I think he told Aunt LeLe is story about falling off the roof 100 times (the story isn't true of course). On more than one occasion I was told by complete strangers..."He has a future in politics, doesn't he?" Well, I don't know about politics, but he did tell the snow cone salesman at the outlet mall that he liked to preach and sing, and even sang her his special version of "Jesus Loves Me".
Allee couldn't be any cuter. Here is a pic of her and her Pop! She loves him to pieces, except when he scolds her...then she pouts really bad for a long time. She trotted around with her little ponytail and bikini like she owned the beach. She even layed out in the sun on her chair a couple of times trying to mock mommy. Of course whenever mommy wanted to lay down, here comes Allee with sandy hands, body, you name it, to lay right across mommy's freshly oiled skin. You can imagine how happy this made me!
The last night, we decided to try some family pictures. This is the four grand-children. Aren't they precious! Keeping Allee still without getting in the sand and Aiden focusing on the task at hand was very difficult. Rick took these photos. The others aren't developed, but I will post as soon as I get them.
Thanks to "NaNa and Pop" for a wonderful vacation. We love you guys.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
I don't have a picture yet, but I wanted to wish my husband a Happy Father's Day. He did not really get a day off because Sunday is his day to work! But, we all (me, Aiden and Allee) took naps, so he did get some ALONE time. He is the most wonderful thing that ever happened to me. He is a great DADDY to our kids and they love him dearly. Aiden has always preferred his daddy over his mommy (which just kills my feelings) but Rick was the main provider for him when he was first born and they will always have a special bond. Allee is more of a mommy's girl, but she has her daddy's temper. Only HE can get her to sleep at night and he always gets up with her in the middle of the night. I could go on and on about what a good help mate he is to me and I am so proud that my children have a Godly DADDY to look up to and depend on! Happy Father's Day! WE LOVE YOU!
The Taylor's
I know this picture seems odd posting in June as we are all bundled up, but this is our family at the church Easter Egg Hunt. This year, we had a "choo-choo train" come and take the kids for a ride. Any other year this would have been welcomed as we are usually burning up and wearing shorts. As you all know, we live in wonderful Alabama, where the weather is never predictable, so Easter this year was very chilly!!! The kids loved it anyway. They didn't seem to mind the cold as much as we did. This was the first year Allee was able to actually put eggs in the basket. We had a blast. Aiden loved "coloring" his eggs this year, too!
